New Jersey Festivals & Fairs This Summer

Summer fairs and festivals are a great opportunity for some family fun in New Jersey. From agricultural fairs to balloon festivals, families can really enjoy the Garden State in the summer months.

You can find information on different types of fairs - from crafts to music - at Fairs and Fun. You can find the various New Jersey agricultural fairs on the NJ Ag Fair website. We've highlighted some below:

• Ocean County Fair (Berkeley Township) - July 13 to 18; open horse show, vendors & other entertainment
  
• Middlesex County Fair (East Brunswick) - August 2 through 8; events include the Barnyard Express, pony rides, fireworks & more
• Warren County Farmer's Fair (Harmony Township) - August 1 through 7; features a hot air balloon festival as well as a horse show & other events
  

Other fairs and festivals this summer include:

• New Jersey Renaissance Kingdom - two great events for the fantasy lovers, the Kingdom of Camelot, including the new Fairy Grotto, on June 19 & 20 & June 26 & 27 at the Red Mill in Clinton
  
• State Fair Meadowlands (Meadowlands Fairgrounds) - June 17 to July 5; entertainment including live shows including Piccadilly Circus, games, rides & more
• The New Jersey Festival of Ballooning (Readington) - July 23 to 25; parking at Solberg Airport in Readington; throughout the day there is other entertainment, including family shows, but the best time to come see the balloons take off is early in the morning to watch the 6:30 am ascension or in the mid-afternoon to watch the 6:30 pm ascension
