Easter Bunny Train Ride (Glen Rock) -  round-trip train ride with the Easter Bunny in Bergen County; usually in late March
St. Patrick's Day Parade (Teaneck to Bergenfield) - usually takes place in mid-March

April

Easter Egg Hunt (Garfield) - usually held in early April

July

July 4  Festivities (Ridgefield Park) - events include a 4th of July Home & Business Decorating Contest (reg usually starts sometime in June) and on the 4th, there are a Baby Parade and a Civic parade; in prior years, fireworks have been canceled because of rain so confirm whether they'll happen
July 4 Celebration (Ridgewood) - events include a flag-raising ceremony, parade & fireworks; fireworks at Veteran's Field in Ridgewood on July 4 (Alternate Date – Sunday, July 5th); Entrance gates open at 6:00 PM and close at 9:00 PM; While the Parade is free, Fireworks Tickets are required for entrance to Vet’s Field. Tickets can be purchased at these locations.

Haunted Hill House (Carlstadt) - largest backyard Halloween walk-thru and performance in northern New Jersey. Staffed entirely by young volunteers and former theatre performers, the event usually runs the weekend before Halloween and is free but donations support their charity partner; fun for all ages but parents with small children should use discretion
Halloween Hayride (Wyckoff) - held at the James A. McFaul Environmental Center in late October; meant for young kids
Zoo Boo (Paramus) - annual event at the Bergen County Zoo, includes a haunted train ride for ages 8 & up and trick-or-treating for children of all ages
