Celebrate Christmas in Warren and visit a local home in Warren Township that is super festive for the holidays!! There are 30,000 LED Christmas lights synchronized to music using over 3000 digitally controlled channels. The light controllers are all home made as are many of the lights and other features. Each light is individually programmed to display a number of effects using Vixen Software.
The lights run nightly 5-10PM weather permitting, from Dec 1 - Dec 31.

Take a winter stroll through the Essex County Turtle Back Zoo this holiday season under the sparkling lights of over 50 winter and animal characters. Please join with the Choral Art Society of New Jersey and the choirs of The Presbyterian Church in Westfield in singing Handel's beloved masterpiece "The Messiah" on Sunday afternoon, December 14, 2014, 3:00 P.M. at The Presbyterian Church in Westfield, corner of East Broad Street and Mountain Avenue. This annual event is a highlight of the Christmas season enjoyed by singers and listeners alike. Conducting will be Martin A. Sedek, musical director of the Choral Art Society of New Jersey, with Ed Alstrom, organist and choir director of The Presbyterian Church in Westfield, at the organ. Soprano and tenor soloists will join the audience in recreating this classic. Bring your own score or borrow one of ours for the occasion. A donation of $10. is requested.

Storybook Land in Egg Harbor Township is where Santa comes up his chimney to wave his magic wand to light the spectacular display of thousands of lights for the Holiday Season. At 5 pm, through December 23, Santa will light the Park and he and Mrs. Claus will be in their chalet to greet children (weather permitting). The display of more than one million lights will be open to visitors through December 30 (weather permitting).
This December marks the 22nd Annual Gingerbread Wonderland. What started as a small display of gingerbread houses has now become an incredible 10-day exhibit of over 200 edible structures. We’ve seen everything from the Notre Dame Cathedral, grand pianos, Chinese pagodas, and Hanukah menorahs to Santa’s workshop, the Eiffel Tower and the Jersey Shore. Over 15,000 guests kick off their holiday celebrations with a visit to this charming and ecumenical exhibit. Guests, young and old, marvel at the creativity, skill and sense of optimism that characterizes each entry. Groups of 8 or more must make a reservation to visit by calling 973-326-7601. Each Sunday, The Hickory Tree Chorus will greet you at the front entrance singing carols from 1:00 to 3:00 pm.

New Brunswick City Market is hosting their 21st Annual Tree lighting and chili cookoff competition on Friday, December 6, 2013 from 5 pm to 7 pm. The festivities will be in front of theatres at Monument Square by the Heldrich Hotel.
The Christmas Tree lighting in New Brunswick includes live performances from many local bands, live entertainment, the chili cookoff competition, a scavenger hunt, free horse drawn carriage rides and a visit from Santa Claus!

Then at 6pm Somerville's Annual Fire Truck Holiday Light Parade will travel through downtown Somerville. The Somerville Fire Department proudly announces its 2nd annual Holiday Lights Parade, starting at 6 pm.
Prizes will be given out for the best decorated fire and emergency vehicles, personal floats and vehicle, and best decorated houses and/or business along the parade route.
