Holiday Harmonies
Traditional carolers, choirs, brass bands, rock, folk, jazz & blues musicians bring holiday tunes to the sidewalks of Red Bank! Musicians are stationed at various locations throughout the business district from 12pm to 3pm.

Free Classic Horse and Wagon Rides
Take a FREE horse and wagon ride through the Red Bank Business District and enjoy the sights and sounds of the holiday season. You can board the horse & wagon at one of two Locations: 11 Bridge Avenue (in front of Danny's Steakhouse) & and 26 Broad St (near Robinson's Ale House). Sponsored by Pauline Poyner.

Holiday Lights and Santa at Storybook Land

Storybook Land in Egg Harbor Township is where Santa comes up his chimney to wave his magic wand to light the spectacular display of thousands of lights for the Holiday Season. At 5 pm, through December 23, Santa will light the Park and he and Mrs. Claus will be in their chalet to greet children (weather permitting). The display of more than one million lights will be open to visitors through December 30 (weather permitting).

Santa visiting Cape May Park & Zoo

Mark your calendar and save the date for Santa’s visit to the Cape May County Park and Zoo!  Freeholder E. Marie Hayes and the Board of Chosen Freeholders invite the public to take a photo with Santa and Mrs. Claus during “Santa’s Family Workshop” on Saturday, December 14th from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.

This free, family event, hosted by the Board of Chosen Freeholders, will also include crafts, education stations, entertainment and treats.

After telling Santa your wish list for Christmas, stroll through the zoo and see the more than 500 animals that call the Cape May County Zoo home – including our new snow leopard cubs, giraffe and bison.

Freeholder Hayes said, “This free holiday event is a way for us to share the joy of the season with our residents and visitors to the Cape May County Zoo.”

So take your camera and the entire family to the Cape May County Zoo for a day of holiday fun. 

The Cape May County Zoo is located at 707 Route 9 North in Cape May Court House (Exit 11 off the Garden State Parkway).   The free Zoo is open, weather permitting, 364 days a year – closed on Christmas Day.

Holiday Events in Somerville

On December 7
From 11am-3pm, visit Santa today at Yogurt Oasis, a photographer will be on hand, a $5 suggested donation.

Then at 6pm Somerville's Annual Fire Truck Holiday Light Parade will travel through downtown Somerville. The Somerville Fire Department proudly announces its 2nd annual Holiday Lights Parade, starting at 6 pm.

Prizes will be given out for the best decorated fire and emergency vehicles, personal floats and vehicle, and best decorated houses and/or business along the parade route.

The Westfield Area Y is hosting Lunch with Santa from 12:30 pm to 2 pm on December 11. Enjoy lunch, sing Christmas Carols and have your photo taken with Santa.The cost is $8 per person in advance, $10 per person at the door. Children under 2 are free. Advance ticket purchase is highly recommended because this event often sells out. Proceeds will benefit the Y Strong Kids Campaign. Elks Lodge 2356 in Sparta is hosting Breakfast with Santa from 8 am to 11 am on December 11. The cost is $6 per adult and $3 for kids 4 to 12 years old. Children 3 and under are free. There are several holiday festivities to choose from in Ocean City.

Kids can enjoy Breakfast with Santa from 8:30 am to 11:30 am at a different downtown restaurant on December 3, 4, 10, 11, 17 and 18. For more information, call 609-398-4662.

There will be photos with Santa from 12 pm to 3 pm at the Music Pier on December 3, 4, 10, 11, 17 and 18. There will be free horse and carriage rides in front of city hall from 12 pm to 3 pm on December 3, 4, 10, 11, 17 and 18.

Santa Train Rides

For the 19th year, the Tri-State Railway Historical Society will be offering Santa Train Rides on Dec. 10. Trains run from the Hackettstown, Mount Arlington, Netcong and the Dover stations. Each child will have the opportunity to meet Santa so parents should bring their cameras. Wherever you choose to board, you will ride a full round trip lasting about one hour. Your fare - $13 for adults and $9 for kids under 12 (2 years and younger are free) - includes an activity book and a little toy for every child. See the website for specific departure times for each station.
