As the film opens, it is Christmas Eve, 1946, and George, who has long considered himself a failure, faces financial ruin and arrest and is seriously contemplating suicide. APFI and the Asbury Park Boardwalk are hosting a day of children’s movies on December 20 in Paramount Theatre, starting at 11am (free admission to all movies). The lineup includes:

Dinner & a Movie - It's a Wonderful Life
The Asbury Park Film Initiative's second annual Dinner and a Movie series features an expanded lineup of restaurants and more venues to catch classic, indie and documentary films. Just go to a participating restaurant starting at 6:30 pm for a special prix fixe dinner. You will be given a ticket along with your check to catch a great 8 pm film at the Paramount, the Showroom or the Watermark. If you only want to go to the movie, tickets are $5 at the door.

Participating Restaurants: The Harrison, Carmine's, Belmonte's, Old Man Rafferty's, Il Pavone, McLoone's, Laila's, the Adriatic, Asbury Pie, Watermark, Langosta Lounge.
